Who Is Katona! ? 

 

Katona! is a 19-year-old American Music Artist representing San Antonio, Texas. When asking about his career he said “Growing up Rap wasn’t necessarily a Dream until the end of 2020. Certain artists passed away that had me looking for an alternative sound. Instead of finding it, I created it.” Starting his career off on his phone, Katona! worked on his craft for 2 years before releasing his first collab track titled “We Gon See” with local artist And childhood friend BainWRLD. 

 

Katona! is similar to multiple artists but his versatility is what makes him stand out. Being able to open himself up to different genres attracted the attention of Illustrate Records C.E.O Defiant Darīus, who took him under his wing.

 

After signing to Illustrate Records, Katona! has an upcoming EP titled “The Goat” with music videos and visualizers in the works too. He’s looking to take over the remaining months of 2023 and start Off 2024 with new content and music. The Rising San Antonio Star is focused on building a name and has been performing at local venues but is starting to perform all around Texas. He is an artist to keep an eye on not just in San Antonio, but Texas as a Whole.
